hey i'm going to put a couple fish in my 40 gallon aquarium. i found a fish store called V.I PETS and they can have almost any kind of fish delivered to them. i know that i'm going to get a 6" Northern (Pike). but i can't decide what other fish i want to get that'll live with the Northern. it's a freshwater aquarium. what kinds of fish would you guys get for an aquarium?? thanks! it needs to be able to get along with a northern!. any suggestins will be appreciated. also does anyone here fish around the sunfield,mi area? if so do you do any good on gills?.

FISH -

Jorden Lake in Lake Odesa is a good spot to fish if you have a boat. Tupper Lake use to be pretty good. Not sure if they still have boat rentals or not. Its north of Woodbury a little ways.

i would think that a bass or a walleye would fare well with the pike as long as they are big enough that the pike wont try and eat it. that way you could feed them both the same thing.

Some type of catfish or bullhead would be fine along
with other fish that are bigger than the pike.

Be careful about it, and maybe ask Boehr...I remember someone talking about it in the past, and I believe that the fish has to be a legal catch, as far as length goes, to keep it in an aquarium...I think there was a thread before about someone who wanted to keep undersized bass in an aquarium, and it was not legal, but I could not find the post...
