I kept watching the modis images during the warm spell thinking we might be jigging the river by the end of February. Looks like it might be a week or two longer now that there is more ice.

I was thinking of getting the boat ready but it will wait a little longer.

i mostly fish big water and it handles the big stuff really well! after going to glass from tin, i wont go back! the hull design throws the water like you wouldnt believe. it is very deep and spacious on the inside! it is very dry unless you have winds dumping it back on ya,and there aint a thing you can do about that -i also really like the new ranger 621 since they redesigned the hull like the 620s! they also put the batteries in the floor, to make the side storage smaller in the rear, and snap in carpet! great improvements on the best boat on the water!

Thanks for the input. I'd love to have the Ranger 621 but unless I win the Lotto or the wife finds a job that's not going to happen.
