Anybody here fish NBAA and going to be fishing Patoka Lake for the championship? My partner can't fish it now, does anyone know the rules for subs or will i have to fish it by myself? Thanks

You'll be able to get a sub, but contact NBAA to be positive.

A sub has to fish half or more of the events in a single division. They can fish other divisions, but to be a sub for the classic they need half in one. I was going to sub, but Jack said I couldn't cause I bounced around between divisions and the most I had was 4 in one week-night division. Hope that makes sense

Seems to not make alot of sence?
A sub is someone who is NOT already fishing ya?
So if you must fish 1/2 of a schedule then your prolly guning for your own Classic birth?
I dunno, I only comment because NBAA is a consideration for me, as well as another club or 2 around!
But if the rules are that SKEWED im not so sure thats the way to go!

This is the rule for a sub in their CLASSIC only...
You can fish with any NBAA member you want throughout the year. A team (for points puposes) is established at the first tournament unless specified ahead of time. So you make the classic, your partner can't make it, you can't just fish w/ anyone off the street. You can however fish with any NBAA member who fished half of the events in a division.
Example: freind of mine needs a sub for one of the days. I fished a bunch of NBAA's, both weekend and weeknight. The most tournaments I fished in one division was 4. I am not elegible to sub for him in the classic.

Those guys are no different than the guys you already fish against. It costs a little more to fish though, and you don't win as much money. If you are ok with that, most of the guys are fun to fish against.
