Has anyone used the Scotty Orca rod holders? I knowthey are a composite material but they look mighty sturdy - sturdy enough for walleye. The price of the composites is always so much less than other rocket launchers and I have to consider that when adding more.

I use the cabela's or powerlock version and have no problems pulling inlines. The orca might be a bit heavier duty if thats what your looking for? The round-flush mount have a nice clean look in my tin-boat.

I have the Scotty's along with a couple Cabelas knock offs
No problems at all with the Walleye
And we take more then a few big fish

Have 4 of the Ram 2000's as well

My thoghts are
I like the Scotty's better then the Ram
The Ram seem to beat up the cork handles more then the Scotty's
Other then that, they all use the same mount and all work for walleye

I have used scotty's/ Cabelas powerlocks trolling #1 dipseys almost 3 mph. They are plenty strong enough for when a 10 lb sheep hits.
